World Giving Index: 10 years of giving trends

The World Giving Index (WGI) is an annual report published by the OneStage, using data gathered by Gallup and ranks countries in the world according to how charitable they are. The first report was produced in 2010 and this year to mark 10 years of WGI, OneStage has released a special 10th anniversary edition of WGI.

The report looks at the giving trends across the globe over the past decade. This report includes the results of around 1.3 million individuals interviewed across the world from over 128 countries over the past decade. Result: the biggest survey on giving trends ever produced and made freely available. The report bases its findings on three parameters: number of people donating money, volunteering time and helping a stranger. While, India is ranked #82 on the 10-year World Giving Index, half of the biggest risers over time are from Asia.
