Our education portfolio has five components: women’s representation in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) education, harnessing child potential through joyful learning, fostering enablers for sound early childhood development, ensuring inclusion of marginalized students and infrastructure strengthening.
In the current year, we have implemented around 11 programmes along with our partners across these areas. We are also supporting 100 Government Schools across 5 districts of UP, with the ‘Mobile Science Labs & Library’ in situ instructional mode. We have also been able to set up 5 STEM labs. One of the projects is emerging as a model in promoting girls for a career in science and technology in 3 government schools in Southern India
The project focusses on supporting school girls in taking up science subjects and pursue a career in STEM education. This is done through providing mentoring support, remedial education and awarding scholarships to girls from under-privileged families.
